As of December 1, 2023 the project was awarded to Expert Lighting Consultants but the awarded amount is not available Reference Number 0000330783 Work is the OPERATIONS CENTER located on the right side of the service drive as you enter the campus. The MTA is soliciting bids from qualified companies who can upgrade and install lighting at the MTA Operations Center located at 1403 S. Dort Hwy., Flint, MI 48503. The current lighting system is out of date and MTA wishes to take advantage of recent advancements in technology. Job 1401 S. Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount and and material payment bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Surety on such bonds shall be a duly authorized company satisfactory to the MTA. *The MTA reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive irregularities or informalities as may be deemed in MTA's interest. It is the MTA's intent to award the to the lowest most qualified, responsive, and responsible Bidder for all phases of the construction work. o Comply with MIOSHA requirements at all times while on project. o Traditional Construction services, including but not limited to monitoring construction schedule, conformance to construction documents, conduct job meetings, and facilitate project closeout process. o Conform to the requirements of the pay items included in the Project Specifications. In the event of a conflict between these specifications, the Owner's Representative shall make the final determination. o Meet all Construction Specifications highlighted in this IFB. o Produce construction documents sufficient for permitting, bidding, and construction. o Provide a designated area for demolition waste containers. New material storage for equipment and parking will be provided for roofing crew during the construction. Contractor shall provide covering for such containers as to prevent public salvaging of items. Leaching of products from container vessels will not be tolerated. The Contractor shall provide all labor and materials necessary to accomplish this work. o Confine all construction and demolition including equipment placement / materials placement to and from the roof areas to within the areas designated. o No additional compensation will be permitted as a result of time extensions due to adverse weather conditions approved by the Owner's Representative. o Provide site survey locating and recording locations of existing lights including affected electrical and gas services, affected water services, and all other points of interest within MTA ceilings. o Do not use HVAC system for storage of equipment or products. All sealants glues, solvents or products of aromatic odor shall not remain open around HVAC fresh air intakes. MSDS sheets must be provided for all solvents, glues or cleaners. o Re-use of existing plugs and electrical wiring is permitted providing construction work abides by all local, state and federal construction code standards. o Lighting levels to abide by OSHA recommended standards. o Lighting fixtures and bulbs to include acceptable UL rating. o Bidder to supply all lifts, ladders and equipment required to complete scope of work. o COST A - MAIN VEHICLE GARAGE: Remove existing 250w lighting fixtures (424) and replace with LED occupancy controlled fixtures. o COST B - MAIN VEHICLE GARAGE EXIT: Remove existing 2 lamp T8 fixtures (12) and replace with LED high-bay occupancy controlled fixtures. o COST C - REPAIR GARAGE: Remove existing 250w fixtures (70) and replace with LED occupancy controlled fixtures. o COST D - PAINT BOOTH/BODY SHOP: Retrofit existing T12 lamp fixtures (66) with LED lamps. o COST E - WASH BAY: Remove existing 250w fixtures (40) and replace with LED occupancy controlled fixtures. o COST F - WASH WALL: Retrofit existing 8ft - Vapor - T12 lamp fixtures (13) with LED lamps. Remove and replace existing 250w single bulb fixtures (3). o COST G - DISPATCH CENTER: Retrofit existing T12 - 3 lamp and 2 lamp fluorescent fixtures (380) with LED lamps. o COST H - EXTERIOR PARKING LOT: Remove and replace existing 250w single bulb fixtures (39) with dual bulb LED alternatives. o COST J - EXTERIOR WALLS: Remove and replace existing 250w fixtures (64) with LED wall packs. o COST K - EXTERIOR LIGHT POLES: Retrofit existing downlights (6) with dual LED fixtures. o COST L - CAFETERIA: Retrofit existing pendant lights (26) with LED lamps. o COST M - INVENTORY ROOMS: Remove and replace existing fixtures (26) with LED occupancy controlled fixtures. Retrofit existing T12 fixtures (35) with LED lamps. o COST N - UNIFORM ROOM: Retrofit existing T12 fixtures (5) with LED lamps. o COST P - BATHROOMS/HALLWAYS/LOCKERROOMS: Retrofit existing T12 fixtures (89) with LED lamps. o COST Q - MAIN ENTRANCE/LOBBY: Retrofit existing exterior canopy lights (3) with LED lamps. Retrofit existing T12 fixtures (11) with LED lamps. o COST R - MAINTENANCE OFFICES: Retrofit existing T12 fixtures (27) with LED lamps. o COST S - ELECTRICAL ROOM: Retrofit exiting T12 fixtures (14) with LED lamps. Remove and replace existing 400w single bulb fixtures (8). o COST T - VAN WASH: Remove and replace existing 400w single bulb fixtures (12).
