Renovation of an educational facility in Montreal, Quebec. Design plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Upgrades, repairs and improvements to the Strathcona building of Paul-Guérin-Lajoie-d'Outremont high school. The scope of the project includes: - Renovation of masonry; - Replacement of doors and windows; - Renovation of the roof; - Renovation of the sanitary blocks and the concierge service; - Partial replacement of the interior finish; - Renovation of the roadway; - Integration of a retention basin; - Repair of exterior lighting; - Restoration of the electrical distribution; - HVAC system upgrade; - Replacement of parts control systems; - Installation of an IP telecommunications system. TIMELINE: The owner has awarded a civil and structural and a geo-environmental enginnering professional consultants for the project design and construction work monitoring following the Requests for proposals 236110463 and 2236110531, respectively. Preliminary planning is underway. Working drawings are expected to begin in fall 2024. Timelines for a tender for the general contractor and construction are being finalized. Note. Construction start is not anticipated before spring/summer 2025.
