Demolition and site work for a residential development in Windsor, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
The Village of Windsor reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any technicalities, and accept any bid. Questions can be directed to Davis Clark, Director of Public Works at davis@windsorwi.gov. Scope of Work Contractors interested in obtaining a contract with the Village of Windsor for providing building demolition shall prepare a written bid to include, but not limited to, the following: 1. The Contractor is responsible for all coordination with the Village, the building owner. 2. Upon the award of the Project, the Contractor shall enter into an agreement in substantially the same format and content as the attached draft "agreement" (Exhibit A). 3. The contractor shall remove all structures including all items within the buildings; interior partitions/walls, beams, or other projections; floors; basement floors; all footings and all nonnative material surrounding footings. No debris shall be left or buried on the site. 4. The contractor shall remove all concrete walkways, steps, driveway and apron, miscellaneous plant material around the building, etc. 5. No debris shall be left or buried on the site. The contractor will supply new curb and gutter where driveway aprons, and on street parking, are now. 6. Asbestos, if any, will be abated by Advanced Testing & Inspection (ATI). 7. Those building components containing lead exceeding limits shall be disposed of legally in accordance with applicable regulations. 8. All utilities and wires (gas, electric, water, sewer, and telephone) shall be disconnected per rules/regulations of authorities having jurisdiction. Sewer and 3/4" domestic water lateral must be cut and capped on the properties side near the public road. 9. The contractor will be responsible for pulling and paying for all necessary permits. 10. The contractor will take whatever steps necessary to monitor the road for debris and promptly remove same. 11. Excavated areas associated with the removal of all structures/substructures shall be backfilled with engineered fill in 8"-10" lifts compacted to a minimum of 95% of the maximum dry density in accordance with ASTM D698 and graded to drain to match the natural topography of the site, covered with 6" of topsoil, seeded with Madison Parks turf grass mix and covered with a straw mat to eliminate ponding and allow for mowing. 12. All rubbish or debris resulting from demolition work shall be removed from the premises during and upon the completion of work, leaving the site area acceptable to the Village. The Contractor is responsible for the proper disposal and recycling of all materials in accordance with local, state and federal waste disposal laws. Contractors must recycle all recyclable materials. Contractor must file all required reports with the WDNR. 13. The contractor will provide receipts certifying disposal of materials at a legal dumpsite or recycling center (where applicable). 14. Erosion control shall be established prior to start of demolition activities and maintained throughout the completion of final grading. 15. Contractor must be Wisconsin State certified to perform the work and provide a copy of the certification. Contractor must provide evidence to the Owner upon completion of proper disposal of all materials. As a part of re-development of the properties located at 6743 Sunset Meadow, Windsor, WI 53598 and 6742 Windsor Street, Windsor, WI 53598. ("Properties"), the Village of Windsor is seeking bids to demolish and legally dispose of the structures from the Properties
