As of May 9, 2024, a shortlist of prospective firms has been released, however a timeline for award has not been determined. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Ohio State University is requesting qualifications from A/E firms to provide professional design services for a planning study for the renovation and potential expansion of the Woody Hayes Athletic Center. The project scope currently includes renovation of the locker room, hydrotherapy, athletic training, weight room, equipment room, team room, and ancillary spaces. A previous study was completed in 2022 that encompassed a much broader scope for the facility and the programming information from that study will be provided to the shortlisted firms. This study shall include a phasing plan to minimize impacts to operations as well as a detailed estimate of probable cost. The selected firm will deliver a Program of Requirements and provide a conceptual level design to establish a construction budget and schedule. The A/E selected to complete the following scope of services: o Convene a series of meetings with user groups and stakeholders identified by Athletics and FDC. o Develop building and site program. o Develop conceptual building plans that include floor plans, massing diagrams, site plans and renderings for fundraising purposes. o Provide narratives for each discipline of work. o Provide third party estimate. The estimate development will incorporate the University's Target Value Design/Target Value Budget process. The estimated construction and total project costs will be developed with the A/E as a part of the study services.
