Renovation of a mixed-use development in Hill Air Force Base, Utah. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.

The government is seeking quotes for the Static Aircraft Exterior Restoration for Hill Air Force Base Museum services. The following documents are provided for you to utilize in the preperation of quotes. Combo Synopsis/Solicitation Performance Work Statement Static Aircraft Restoration 13 MAY 2024 WD 15-5483 Rev 23 Hill Aerospace Museum Static Aircraft Photos 22 May 2024 Clauses FA820124Q0003 Quotes are required to be submitted via email to both the contract specialist Kyler Marks at email kyler.marks@us.af.mil and contracting officer Dawn Schmidt at email dawn.schmidt.1@us.af.mil SCOPE OF WORK: The objective of service is to prepare, paint, and protect the exterior of aircraft, in vary states of condition, residing at the Hill Aerospace Museum to prevent further deterioration and to portray the U.S. Air Force and its heritage in a positive, historically accurate manner. The following details provide additional project scope: Outdoor aircraft: B-1, C-124 Indoor aircraft: C-54, T-29, C-131, U-3, RB-57, Mig-17, Mig-21. Contractor could accomplish work for one, some, or all listed aircraft. Contractor will supply cost per each aircraft, permitting the Museum to select one, some, or all listed aircraft for work. Contractor shall provide all personnel, materials, tools, supplies, equipment, and parts necessary to accomplish site management and aircraft restoration services. Contractor shall properly repair surface damage (riveting, sheet metal, composite, etc.) identified by the Museum, if any; remove corrosion; clean; and paint static aircraft displays in a historical paint scheme. Paint work could include landing gear, wheels, and props. Work must occur on the grounds of the Hill Aerospace Museum and during normal operating hours, 0630-1600. Contractor will refinish in the exteriors in accordance with AFI 84-103, 8.3, Air Force Heritage Program, and T.O.1-4-4, Exterior Finishes, Insignia, and Markings Applications to USAF Aircraft. All existing paint/markings will be removed from each aircraft before final paint. Contractor will be responsible for compliance with all federal, state, local, and OSHA laws/regulations.
