New Bethel High School SEPA Mitigated Determination of Non-Significance (MDNS) Notice of Availability and Comment Period Notice of Availability and Comment Period on the SEPA Mitigated Determination of Non-Significance (MDNS) for the construction of the 281,723 square foot replacement school for the Bethel High School located at 7718 224th Street East, Graham Washington, including: The proposal is to construct a 281,723 square foot high school, with associated access, parking, student drop-off and bus drop-off areas, and fields. The building will accommodate up to 1800 students and staff. The Project includes the potential future expansion for four classroom portables to accommodate 200 students and a portable for a potential future school health center. The site for the new school is on a 98-acre site located at 7718 224th Street East, Graham, Washington (Parcel Nos. 0418172021, 0418172019, 0418172010, and 0418172009). The main access for the New Bethel High School will be from 224th Street East at 77th Avenue East, a private drive access, for use of students, staff, and visitors. The bus access will be from 70 Avenue East, extending east into the school site. The Bethel School District No. 403 has determined that the proposal does not have probable significant adverse impact on the environment with mitigation proposed or incorporated into the project as noted in the MDNS. An environmental impact statement (EIS) is not required under RCW 43.21C.030(2)(c). This decision was made after review of a completed Expanded Environmental Checklist with Appendices submitted by the District, engineering reports, environmental studies and reports, plans, and other information on file with the District. This information is available to the public on request. The MDNS is issued under 197-11-340(2).
