Renovation of a multi-residential development in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
Overview The goal of this project is to save energy and improve indoor air quality by replacing the existing conventional condensing units serving Building-101 (B-101) with new Variable Refrigerant Flow Condensing Units (VRF-CU). The new VRF-CU will be more efficient, provides better reliable equipment, and reduce energy consumptions. Existing System Detail B-101 is served by (3) split system Air Handling Units (AHU) with a combined cooling capacity of 160-Ton. The (3) AHUs provide conditioned air to Variable Air Volume Boxes (VAV) located through the building and controlled by zone sensors. The VAVs modulate to provide conditioned air to each zone to meet required ventilation and thermal comfort. The equipment is controlled by an Automated Logic Control System (ALC). PROPOSAL BIDS PIDC, on behalf of PAID, is extending the due date for bids for HVAC Condenser Replacement at the Navy Yard Building 101.
