Site work for a road / highway in Evansville, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

Any Bids received after the designated time, for any reason, will be returned unopened. Bids shall be delivered in a sealed envelope, bearing the name and address of the Bidder, and clearly marked: "Lynch Road and Career Avenue Traffic Signal Installation", Project No. 23-022" Bids shall be submitted on the standard Bid Form (Indiana Form No. 96 Revised 2013), signed, sealed, with the Non Collusion Affidavit properly signed and notarized, and with the Corporate Seal affixed. Each Bid shall be accompanied (in the same envelope) by a Bid Bond or Certified Check, made payable to the CITY OF EVANSVILLE, in an amount equal to Five Percent (5%) of the Total Bid submitted. No Bid may be withdrawn after the opening of Bids without the consent of the Board of Public Works for a period of thirty (30) days after the scheduled time of opening Bids. The Contractor receiving award will be required to furnish an approved Performance Bond, in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Bid price, which is to remain in effect for Twelve (12) months from the date of acceptance of the work. Attention is called to the requirements that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid. The Contractor shall be aware that he will be required to list all subcontractors and the percentage of the contract performed by each subcontractor. Construction and installation shall be in full accordance with the Contract Drawings and Specifications, together with all Addenda thereto. The Board of Public Works reserves the right to reject any and/or all Bids, and to waive any informalities in the Bids. A. This Section outlines the requirements for temporary and permanent pavement markings for asphalt and concrete roads. II. GENERAL A. This Section shall pertain to pavement markings for both new construction and reconstruction. B. The term "pavement markings" shall collectively refer to Longitudinal Markings and Transverse Markings. C. This Section contains highlights of IMUTCD requirements that are most applicable to pavement markings within the City, but shall not relieve the Contractor from complying fully with IMUTCD if omissions in this Section occur. III. DEFINITIONS A. LONGITUDINAL MARKINGS - Markings consisting of centerlines, lane lines, edge lines, and barrier lines. 1. CENTER LINES - Line markings used to separate lanes of traffic moving in the opposite direction. 2. LANE LINES - Line markings used to separate lanes of traffic moving in the same direction. 3. EDGE LINES - Line markings used to outline and separate the edge of pavement from the shoulder or curb. 4. BARRIER LINES - Line markings used as a guide to traffic indicating such crossing of the line(s) is not permitted. B. TRANSVERSE MARKINGS - Markings consisting of channelizing lines, crosswalk lines, parking limit lines, stop bars, and word or symbol messages. 1. CHANNELIZING LINES - Line markings used to form islands where traffic in the same direction of travel is permitted on both sides of the island. 2. CROSSWALKS - Line markings used to provide guidance for pedestrians who are crossing roads by defining and delineating paths on approaches to and within signalized intersections, and on approaches to other intersections where traffic stops. 3. PARKING LIMIT LINES - Line markings used to indicated where and within certain constraints vehicle parking is allowed on roads. 4. STOP BARS - Line markings used to indicate the point behind which vehicles are required to stop in compliance with a traffic control signal or sign. 5. PAVEMENT MESSAGE MARKINGS - Word, symbol, and arrow markings used to guide, warn, or regulate traffic
