The Stanwood City Hall & Police Department Renovation project consists of tenant improvement renovations of the City of Stanwood City Hall Building & the City of Stanwood Police Department Building. The projects include demolition of existing interior windows and doors and addition of new interior partitions, doors, interior windows, equipment, lighting, paint and other finishes The estimate for this project ranges between $1,000,000 to $1,100,000. The work will begin within five (5) working days after notice to proceed from the Public Works Director and shall be completed within the time as stated in the Advertisement for Bids The project's Physical Completion Date shall be within 60 working days of the Notice to Proceed. All bids shall be submitted on the prescribed Bid Forms and in the manner as stated in this advertisement and in the Project Manual and said bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a cashier's check, postal money order, or surety bond to the City of Stanwood in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. If a surety bond is used, said bond shall be issued by a surety authorized and registered to issue said bonds in the State of Washington. The bond shall specify the surety's name, address, contact and phone number, and shall include a power of attorney appointing the signatory of the bond as the person authorized to execute it. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into the Contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the Information for Bidders, the bid deposit shall deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Stanwood.
