It is the intent of these specifications to obtain sealed bids for furnishing and delivery of ready-mix concrete to various sites within the City of Germantown on an as-needed basis. Bids will result in annual requirements contract to supply the concrete at the unit prices bid and in accordance with the specifications of this bid. When required, bid will be accompanied by a 5% Bid Bond or a Cashier's Check in an amount not less than the amount indicated on the Bid. Bid Bonds shall be signed by the bidder and their surety company. Power of Attorney for the person who executes the bond on behalf of the surety as Attorney-In-Fact must accompany the bid bond. When required, bidders must supply certificate of insurance or bonds through a company that is authorized to do business in the State of Tennessee. Questions Deadline: October 3, 2023 at 4pm The period of this Contract shall be for twelve (12) months. This Contract may be extended by the City for two (2) additional successive twelve (12) month periods or portions thereof, up to a cumulative total of thirty-six (36) months, by written notice to the Contractor given at least thirty (30) days before the expiration of the term then in existence. The Successful Bidder shall be prohibited from discriminating against any individual due to his race, creed, color, national origin, age or sex. See attached Specifications, Bid Form, Drug and Alcohol Testing Acknowledgment Statement and Affidavit along with Company's Testing Policy, Vendor's Qualifications and Reference Form that must be returned as part of the Bid. Returning the form for disclosure of the Title VI and Title IX information is voluntary. The Standard Germantown Services and/or Products Contract and Required Insurance Certifications are included and will be required from the selected Bidder. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any Bid, to accept a Bid containing variations from these specifications if the Bid so merits, and to accept partial Bids.
