Renovation of a detention facility in Henrico, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

Direct any questions concerning the Project Manual and Drawings in writing via the Questions function in ProcureWare. The Work is generally described as the interior alterations of the detention shower cell and booking area. The renovated areas in this project will be renovated in accordance with the 2018 Virginia Existing Building Code. The building is a mixed-use and the primary use group is Institution Retrained with accessory group Business (B). The construction type is IB, non-combustible construction. The building is and will be sprinklered with an NFPA-13 sprinkler system. The work will consist of the removal of four existing detention sliding doors and replacement with new detention swinging doors and hardware, and associated ceiling demolition and restoration. It will also include removal of the existing combination sanitary unit and replacement with two new shower fixtures, plus associated concrete floor and piping removal and replacement. New wire mesh partitions and associated detention hardware will also be provided. The Henrico Jail West Security Alterations project is located at 4317 East Parham Road, Henrico, Virginia, 23228.
