Project Description Qualifications are requested from professional design firms for Basic Renovation/Deferred Maintenance Projects. The improvement projects involve Architecture, Asbestos and Other Hazardous Material Abatement, Landscape Architecture, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Elevators, Technology Infrastructure, Data Cabling and Systems Design and Upgrades, Geotechnical Testing and Engineering, Energy Auditing Services, Energy Conservation Design Services, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Concrete/Structural/Materials Testing Services, Partnering Services, Scheduling/Claims Analysis, Surveyors, Interior Design Services, Relocation Management Service, and Roofing Disciplines. These projects include minor classroom, laboratory and office improvements, ADA improvements, utility upgrades, exterior lighting, fire alarm improvements, emergency generator improvements, HVAC upgrades and renovations, high-voltage electrical distribution repairs and upgrades, steam and chilled water distribution, landscaping, and masonry repairs/renovations. Any firm submitting qualifications may be considered for one or more of the basic renovations projects at the discretion of the owner should the need for such services arise. B. Scope of Services All projects will have an appropriately developed Program of Requirements (POR) and upon award of the Agreement, the projects will commence with design. For projects without such POR, upon award of the Agreement, commence by developing the Program of Requirements. The selected Associate, as a portion of the required Scope of Services and prior to submitting its proposals, will discuss an clarify with the Owner, the cost breakdown of the Associate Agreement detailed cost components to address the Owner's project requirements. Participation in the EDGE Program will be as required by statute and the Agreement. The selected A/E, as a portion of its required Scope of Services and prior to submitting its proposals, will discuss and clarify with the Owner and/or the Contracting Authority, the cost breakdown of the Architect/Engineer Agreement detailed cost components to address the Owner's project requirements. Participate in the Encouraging Diversity, Growth& Equity (EDGE) Program as required by statute and the Agreement. As required by the Agreement, and as properly authorized, provide the following categories of services: Program Verification, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Document Preparation, Bid and Award Support, Conformed Documents, Construction Administration, Post-Construction, and Additional Services of all types. Refer to the Ohio Facilities Construction Manual for additional information about the type and extent of services required for each. A copy of the standard Agreement can be obtained at the OFCC website During the construction period, provide not less than 2 hours (excluding travel time) on-site construction administration services each week, including (1) attendance at progress meetings, (2) a written field report of each site visit, (3) on-site representation comprised of the A/E and its consultant staff involved in the primary design of the project, all having relevant and appropriate types of construction administration experience For purposes of completing the Relevant Project Experience Matrix in Section F of the Statement of Qualifications (Form F110-330), below is a list of elevrant scope of work requirements for this RFQ: 1. General Architectural Services for Building Renovations/ADA Upgrades. 2. Higher Education Environment Experience. 3. Building Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical Systems Improvements. 4. Utility Infrastructure - Steam, Chilled Water, High Voltage Electrical, General Electrical Upgrades and Improvements. 5. Elevators, Elevator Systems and Elevator Controls Design. 6. Landscape Architectural Design. 7. Building Envelope Evaluation for Repairs and Improvements. 8. Commercial Roofing Design for Repairs or Replacements. 9. Testing Services and Special Inspections Services. 10. Technology Infrastructure, Data Cabling and Systems Design and Upgrades. 11. Construction Administration (budgeting, scheduling, construction observation).
