Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Madison, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The Contractor shall perform work at various locations throughout the City, as ordered by the Common Council, or as directed by the Engineer. This work includes replacing defective sidewalk and curb and gutter, concrete pavement repairs, sidewalk ramps including detectable warning fields (supplied by the City of Madison) and associated work. There are also locations where new sidewalk and associated work shall be installed. A list of approved locations and detail drawings are included with these Special Provisions. The list, however, is not a final list. Additional locations may be added. An interim completion date of August 30, 2024 is required for all work included with these Special Provisions. Any work added after September 30, 2024 shall be completed in a timeframe mutually agreed upon by the Contractor and City. Liquidated damages in accordance with Section 109.9 of the Standard Specifications shall apply to all completion dates noted above. No work shall take place on the UW Campus on August 15-16 or August 28-30, 2024.
