As of June 6, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on June 19, 2024. ITEM NO 3-3206.00 Removal of necessary items within the project limits including but not limited to trees, fencing, landscaping, pavement, existing sidewalk/greenway, curb and gutter, storm pipes, inlets, headwalls and anything relating to pedestrian signal pedestal install/removal shall be considered incidental to clearing and grubbing. This also includes removal of existing pedestrian pedestals and restore ground to match surrounding. The City of Bowling Green is soliciting bids for the construction of an 8'/10' multi-use path in order to close the gap between downtown and the west end from Roland Bland Park to Hobson Grove Park in Bowling Green. Due to budget constraints, this project has been rescaled to include Veterans Memorial from Kentucky Street to Gordon Avenue including the refuge islands at the intersection of Gordon and Veterans Memorial. Gordon Avenue from Veterans Memorial to Double Springs will also be included in the scope of work. A bid alternate is also included on this letting which contains greenway work on Double Springs from Gordon Avenue to Church Street. This project will feature a 8'/10' multi-use path, minimal storm drainage work, minor utility relocation, ADA ramps, and pedestrian signal work at the Veterans Memorial and Gordon Avenue intersection. Questions should be addressed to the Procurement Manager in writing by May 9, 2024 A bid bond of 5% must be submitted with bids. Additionally performance and payment bonds of 100% will be required. The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal established for this project is 4%.
