Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; for the construction of a 107,000-square-foot educational facility; for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

This project consists of a new, approximately 107,000 SF middle school building for Grand Forks Public Schools. Once construction is complete, the existing middle school will be demolished and the site will be transitioned into green space. The project includes surveying, testing, temp fencing, building demolition, concrete, precast concrete, masonry, structural steel, rough and finish carpentry, membrane roofing, joint sealants, metal wall panels, fluid applied air barrier, spray foam insulation, hollow metal doors, overhead doors, glazing, gypsum assemblies, tile, flooring, acoustical ceilings, resinous flooring, wood athletic flooring, painting, specialties, gymnasium equipment, theater equipment, food service equipment, window treatments, bleacher seating, elevators, fire sprinklers, mechanical, electrical, earthwork, asphalt paving, concrete paving, landscaping, and utilities. As of February 27, 2024, this project is in the final pre-construction stages. A general contractor and architect have been selected. Construction of Phase 1 will commence April 2024 and be complete December 2025. Demolition and site restoration for Phase 2 will begin in January of 2026 and will be completed by July of 2026 Construction Engineers is soliciting competitive Lump Sum Bidsî for All Contract Categories. Verbal clarifications will not be entertained. All requests for clarification must be submitted 72 hours prior to Bid Date. All plan holders will be notified of changes via email. In the weeks following the bid opening, the Construction Manager will hold post bid interviews with qualified bidders. Any contract award shall be based on the amount of the total base plus any alternates the Owner may select and shall be awarded to the lowest, best qualified bidder. Separate contracts will be awarded for each trade specialty. No bid results will be considered final until completion of post bid interviews and bid clarification have been completed No bidder may withdraw their bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof. The Construction Manager and the Owner reserve the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any or all formalities.
