Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in North Caldwell, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Please note, Item 1 in the Supplementary Technical Specifications (Electric Utility Service Line) is not a paid line item and is incorporated into other work. Additionally, Line Item 1 on the proposal (Breakaway Barricades, Type III) are not proposed. The work to be performed includes the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the work as shown on the drawings and described in the specifications. The work in this contract includes the construction of approximately 2,442 square yards of a pervious pavement walking path, 218 square yards of pervious pavement exercise pads, five (5) footbridges, three (3) boardwalks, one (1) viewing platform, the removal of the existing parking area to be replaced with a 601 square yards pervious pavement parking area, hot mix asphalt driveway and drive aisle, associated ADA parking spaces, six (6) sitting benches, two (2) flagpoles, and other incidental work. An alternate bid is proposed for the construction of an additional 550 square yards of pervious pavement walking paths, two (2) boat launches, five (5) sitting benches, a wood gazebo, and other incidental work. Bid must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and a Certified Check, Cashiers Check or Bid Bond of not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount bid, and not to exceed $20,000.00. The Borough reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive immaterial informalities, and/or to accept the bid which, in the opinion of the Borough, will be in the best interest of the Borough, all in accordance with the New Jersey Public Contract Law N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et. seq. By order of the Borough Council and Borough Administrator of the Borough of North Caldwell.
