A segment of the existing 8-inch asbestos cement pipe will be abandoned in place and a portion will be removed. Bids will be accepted for this Project only from the prequalified bidders on the Project Bidders List. Prequalification to be placed on the Project Bidders List for this Project is closed. The Contractor and subcontractors, require proof of current registration. A bid shall not be accepted nor any contract or subcontract entered into without proof of the contractor's and subcontractor's current registration. The Contractor to whom this project is awarded must possess a class A contractor's license, issued by the State of California, which is current and full. The Contractor will be permitted to substitute securities for moneys withheld under this Agreement to ensure performance. Such substitution shall be subject to the provisions of Article 11.8 of the General Provisions of the Agreement. A payment bond and performance bond are required to be provided by the Contractor.
