Renovation of a water / sewer project in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

This project involves the supply and installation of new asphalt shingles roofing at the Malpeque Road Water Station. The original building was constructed in 1888. The original roof is a hip style roof with a small lean-to addition at the back. All roofs are currently finished with asphalt shingles but were originally finished with natural slate roofing. The scope of work includes but not limited to: a) The provision for removal and disposal of the existing asphalt shingles and other items indicated on the drawings. b) Reinforcing of select areas of the roof structure. c) Provision for new sheathing and waterproofing membrane d) Provision for new asphalt shingles e) Provision for new flashing, gutters, downspouts, and accessories. f) Painting, where applicable. g) Removal of debris offsite and cleaning. The Malpeque Water Station is a registered municipal and provincial heritage property located at 55 Malpeque Road in Charlottetown, PE. All bylaws and covenants pertaining to its designations must be strictly adhered to. The purpose of this Tender process is to select a Bidder to supply and install new asphalt shingles, new gutters, and all accessories at the Malpeque Water Station located on 55 Malpeque Road, Charlottetown, PE. C1E 1S3, as detailed below and in Section 3.0 - Scope of Work of the tender document. The timeline for the above work to be performed is between October 10 and March 30, 2025 Every Tender received shall be accompanied by a certified cheque or bid bond payable to the City of Charlottetown in the amount of at least Ten (10%) Percent of the tender price including applicable taxes. The bid guarantees will be returned to all except the three (3) lowest Bidders within three (3) days after the opening of Tenders. The bid guarantees of the remaining non-successful Bidders will be returned within the earlier of sixty (60) days after the opening of Tenders and two (2) days after Council awarding the tender. No interest will be paid on any Tender deposit.
