Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, parts, tools, travel, equipment, and incidentals needed to clean, repair, remove and legally dispose of existing roof material and furnish and install new 40 year standing seam metal roofing replacement (over thirty 30-year felt), flashings, roof components, and insulation at Lee Vining Highway Maintenance Station. Written Question Submittal 09/20/2023 10:00 a.m. The bidder or subcontractor must have, at time of bid submittal and for the duration of this Agreement, a valid, current C-39 Roofing Contractor License issued by the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) for the type of work to be performed. If the total bid amount is under $15,000, then Prevailing Wage language will be removed prior to award Technical questions regarding this solicitation will be addressed, in writing and at an Optional Site Inspection to be held at 10:00 a.m. on September 19, 2023, at Lee Vining Maintenance Station, 51548 Highway 395, Lee Vining, CA 93541 Caltrans will conduct the site inspection of the facilities and disseminate any additional information to participants, if necessary. In the event a potential prime contractor is unable to attend the Optional Pre-Bid Site Inspection, an authorized representative may attend on its behalf. The representative may only sign in for one (1) company. Subcontractors may not represent a potential prime contractor at a Pre-Bid Questions regarding this IFPQ must be submitted in writing. Bidders are encouraged to submit their written questions by 10:00 a.m. on September 20, 2023. A bid proposal over $388,000.00 will be deemed non-responsive and will be rejected. Payment Bond Requirement: If the successful bidders bid exceeds $25,000, the successful bidder shall furnish a Payment Bond for not less than 100 percent (100%) of the total amount payable by the terms of this Agreement. The Payment Bond is due prior to the start date of work. No work may commence without receipt of a valid Payment Bond.
