Site work for a water / sewer project in Arroyo Grande, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The heavy rains in the Winter of 22/23 have caused erosion at the top of the bank of Arroyo Grande Creek at Lift Station # 3. There is concerns the heavy flow of storm water in the Creek may have eroded the bottom of the creek bank and exposed an existing sewer force main located in the flowline of the Creek. Repair the erosion at the top of the Creek Bank and make improvements to reduce the storm water flow over the creek bank. Investigate the condition of the bottom of the creek bank and the sewer force main to see if they are vulnerable to damage caused by future storm events. The project is included in the City of Arroyo Grande's FY 2023-2025 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Per the owner, as of November 28, 2023, this project has been completed. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
