The last day to submit questions This project a turnkey modernization and 12-month warranty maintenance service for one (1) Traction Elevator installed at the Akron-Summit County Public Library. The Akron-Summit County Public Library reserves the right to reject any and all bids and any part or parts of any bid, and also the right to waive any informalities in the bid. Elevator #6 at Akron-Summit County Public Library is a basement traction passenger unit in a simplex operating configuration. The elevator described below is receiving a full turnkey modernization as per the criteria described in this specification. This modernization will include the removal and replacement of the existing controller, machine, drive, hoistway wiring, governor, hoist ropes, fixtures, and other related equipment. The rated lifting capacity and travel speed shall be maintained. The cost for warranty maintenance of the elevators, as per the language contained in this specification, is to be included in the base bid amount. The warranty maintenance will commence upon turnover and will continue for twelve (12) consecutive months from the Akron-Summit County Public Library's acceptance of the modernized elevators. The full-service warranty maintenance includes regular time service calls, a two-hour response time to service calls, and the special billing rates noted above. If the 2-hour response time requirement is not met the service call will not be billable regardless of the nature of the call.
