The London District Catholic School Board is inviting Pre-qualified General Contractors to submit responses to this Request for Tender for the LDCSB New Build of Regina Mundi College Secondary School. Nicholson Sheffield Architects Incorporated will be prime on this job. Pre-Qualified General Contractors are to submit the complete bid and are responsible for obtaining pricing from Trades listed within this tender document. Overview and any pertinent details affecting submissions as a result of the site visit will be posted as an Addendum. Award of this tender will be dependent on Ministry and Board approval which will be between the end of March 2024 and May 2024. Construction on this project will start upon award. The LDCSB proposes to build a new Catholic Secondary School located at 5200 Wellington Road South in the City of London at the existing Regina Mundi College site. The new two-storey building of approximately 7,932 gross square metres will be a combination of steel frame and load-bearing masonry. The new roofing will be a cold applied roofing system. The existing Regina Mundi Catholic Secondary School must be kept fully operational during the construction of the new secondary school including full access around the school for students, staff, school buses, deliveries, etc. The abatement of designated substances and demolition of the existing Regina Mundi Catholic Secondary School (approximately 15,600 gross square metres) will take place once the new building has been completed suitable for occupancy. Phased site work including driveways, parking areas, and landscaping will take place both before and after the new construction. The estimated value of the proposed project is approximately $35,000,000, which includes an estimated amount of $4,700,000 for demolition and removal of designated substances. The estimated mechanical value of approximately $6,000,000.00, the estimated electrical value of approximately 3,000,000.00, and the estimated roofing value of approximately $2,000,000.00.
