Completed plans call for the construction of a retail development; for site work for a retail development; for the demolition of a retail development; for the renovation of a retail development; and for paving for a retail development.

Bids are requested for the following Contract: UMUT Food Market / EDA 05-79-06194 The desire for the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe (UMUT) is to create a full-service grocery store / food market that could become the pillar of food security for the UMUT people and assist in buttressing against declining population trends that have occurred over the past 20 years. Due to the cost to build the full-service grocery store and the Ute Mountain Ute Tribes limited available operating funds, the UMUT is proposing to develop a shipping container food and economic incubator hub to launch and grow many of the businesses that could later become pillars of the future grocery store. This project, called FEED Towaoc (FEED stands for Food Entrepreneurs as Economic Development) has the potential to become a hub of healthy food, workforce job training, and entrepreneurship development, providing space for food production, retail, and classroom/meeting space for participants to attend business development courses. This project is based around remodeling the existing Woody's Gas Station, constructing a new adjacent kitchen facility, constructing a new coffee shop, site construction, and utilities. The project is located off of the Ute Mountain Ute Reservation and is not subject to TERO regulations. This contract is for the general contractor with scope to include: Item # Scope Description A Review design and provide value engineering comments for potential cost reductions B Installation of water tap to the project site with fire hydrant C Remodel of the Existing Woody's Gas Station D Demolition of the gas canopy (columns to remain) E Abandonment of the underground fuel tanks F Construct the new kitchen facility G Construct the new coffee shop H Installation of septic system for the project site I Site grading and drainage J Construct parking lot (i.e. subgrade preparation, base course, asphalt concrete paving, hot mix asphalt, ADA parking spots, striping, signage) K Installation of finished surfaces (i.e. sidewalk, bollards, finished grading, rip rap, drainage and erosion control features) Contact information and submittal procedures for such questions are as follows: Bidder shall submit all questions to Engineer in writing to Dr. Beth Cascaddan (BCascaddan@utemountain.org) and Greg Nelson (greg.nelson@horrocks.com) and submit via at Bidding Documents Website.
