The intent of the Request for Proposal (RFP) is to request service proposals including design and Engineering fees and pricing for the permitting, supply, install, and commissioning of storage racking in the BMO Expansion back-of-house areas. The racking included in this scope will be primarily for the storage of banquet and meeting room furniture outlined in Appendix A as well as miscellaneous kitchen and food service equipment. The type, amount, and weight of kitchen and food service equipment to be stored is not defined at this time and will be refined through the racking design phase though it is generally expected to require heavy-duty racking with adjustable shelves up to 20 feet high. Several areas throughout the back-of-house zones have been designed for both light and heavy- duty storage on levels 2 and 3. The intended storage areas by item category are outlined in Appendix B including maximum allowance storage height which is noted in the keynotes. Final storage heights may be limited by site conditions and will need to be verified by the Successful Proponent Design information regarding structural loading and fire protection classifications can be found in Appendix C and Appendix D, respectively. Additional storage shelving will be provided by others for miscellaneous items where indicated in green in Appendix B; these shelves are not included in the scope of this RFP. Banquet chairs (BF-001) to be storage in 8 stacks of 10 per storage truck (BF-002). Chairs to be generally storage above tables in Red and Light Blue areas in Appendix B. Round banquet tables (BF-003) to be stored in groups of 10 on transportation carts (BF-009) at floor level, below banquet chairs in Red areas in Appendix B. Rectangular folding tables (BF-004) to be stored on transportation carts (BF-016) in Blue areas in Appendix B. Additional storage of folding tables may be required at high level not on transportation carts. Buffet tables (BF-007) to be storage folded and nested at floor level in Light Blue area.
