Site work for a civil project in Wallkill, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project consists of the removal and replacement of wastewater pump station components, including all force main valves, piping, and supports. The project also consists of other improvements including clearing brush and grading around the exterior of the facility, as well as furnishing and installing an insertion valve, wet tap and valve, and bypass pump connection on the force main, a ventilation fan in the control building, a dehumidifier in the pump station, and led light fixtures in the wet well. Wastewater bypass pumping is required for the duration of the work in the pump station. The Wallkill River Road Pump Station is located at 267 River Road in the Hamlet of Wallkill, Town of Shawangunk. All of the contract documents, including Instructions to Bidders, Proposal Forms, General Conditions governing the contract, drawings and detailed specifications, may be examined at the office of Brinnier and Larios, P.C., 67 Maiden Lane, Kingston, NY 12401 or at the office of the Town Clerk, Shawangunk Town Hall, 14 Central Avenue, Wallkill, NY 12589. Contract documents may be mailed first class upon receipt of a check payable to Brinnier and Larios, P.C. in the amount of $10.00 to cover postage and handling costs. Digital copies of all contract documents may also be obtained online. Brinnier and Larios, P.C. is not responsible for the accuracy of any digital contract documents that are downloaded outside of the direct download from our website. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid in the form of a certified check or bid bond subject to the conditions of this contract. The successful bidder shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the accepted bid as set forth in the Bid Form. These Bonds shall be in compliance with the Specifications. ANY CONTRACT OR SUBCONTRACT RESULTING FROM THIS BID INVITATION WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMPLY WITH THE PRESIDENT'S EXECUTIVE ORDERS NO. 11246 AND 11375. THE REQUIREMENTS FOR BIDDERS AND CONTRACTORS UNDER THESE ORDERS WHICH CONCERN NONDISCRIMINATION IN EMPLOYMENT ARE EXPLAINED IN THE INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS. The Town of Shawangunk hereby notifies all Bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in regard to any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the ground of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. Attention is also directed to the fact that the contractor will be governed by the Labor Standards Provisions, which are made part of this specification and contract. The bidder, by signing his proposal, certifies that he is fully aware of the State Laws regarding the non-collusion bidding certification. No separate forms will be required, but the actual signing of the proposal includes such a statement and is included in the proposal. The Town Board expressly reserves the right to waive any informalities in or to accept any bid, or to reject any and all bids, or to award on any or all items, as the interest of the Town of Shawangunk may appear to require. The Town of Shawangunk is an exempt organization under the Tax Laws and is exempt from payment of Sales and Compensating Use Taxes of the State of New York and Cities and Counties of the State of all materials which are to be incorporated into this project, pursuant to the provisions of the Contract. These taxes are not to be included in the Bid. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 45 (forty-five) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
