Renovation of an educational facility in Jefferson, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Single-prime lump sum bids will be taken for construction as indicated in the bidding documents. Proposals must be made on the standard form to be included in the Project Manual. This bid will include both projects. Mountain View Elementary School is located at 2789 NC Highway 221 North, in Jefferson, NC, 28640. This will be a lump sum single prime formal bidding process, pursuant to NCGS 143-129, as the anticipated cost of this work is greater than $500,000. The laws of North Carolina and applicable regulations of various Licensing Boards, and historically under-utilized business provisions will be observed in receiving bids and awarding contracts. Bidders may submit questions directly to Troy Luttman via email at troy@luttmanarchitecture.com. Questions must be received in writing by 5:00 PM Monday, October 9, 2023. Any addenda will be issued no later than Friday, October 13, 2022, via email. To be notified via email of any addenda, send an email to Troy Luttman requesting to be placed on this project's notification list. Contact with any County staff or official regarding this project may disqualify a bid. Ashe County Schools reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive informalities or technicalities, as it may deem to be in its best interest The work of this contract includes, but is not to be limited to: A - Blue Ridge Elementary School: Removal of existing window units and installation of new window units with insulated panels; Removal and re-installation of existing window air conditioning units with new fabricated aluminum support brackets; and removal and installation of new blinds. B - Mountain View Elementary School: Existing windows are to remain; insulated panels will have been installed in them by the time the construction period starts. Existing window air conditioning units are to be reinstalled with new fabricated aluminum support brackets into insulated panels. 2. Contractor shall furnish all material, labor, tools, supplies, equipment, transportation, temporary construction required of every nature, insurance, taxes, contributions and all services and facilities, unless specifically excepted, and install all materials, items and equipment required to complete the construction of the Project, as set forth in the Contract. 3. The General Contractor shall act as the Project Expediter and be responsible for coordinating the work and schedules of other trades. B. There will be no Multiple - Prime construction contracts for this work.
