General Contractors for the Installation of twenty (20)windows/ seven (7) door units which shall be in strict accordance with the attached installation shop drawings prepared by the Pella window company. All work will be inspected by historic preservation Architect, Able City, LLP. The City of Del Rio will be responsible for the purchase of the window door units. This proposal is for labor, miscellaneous materials, and equipment for replacement of these door and windows. The project is scheduled to be awarded at the City Council meeting to be held on December 2024. Any questions concerning proposal specifics should be addressed to Luis Menchaca, Purchasing Agent via e-mail at purchasing@cityofdelrio.com no later than November 12, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. Proposals cannot be altered or amended after submission deadline. Any interlineation, alteration, or erasure made before opening by the City must be initialed by the signer of the proposal, guaranteeing authenticity. A submittal may not be withdrawn or canceled by the offeror without the permission of the City for a period of sixty (60) days following the date designated for the receipt of sealed proposals, and offeror so agrees upon submittal of their sealed proposal. The Contractor agrees to complete the entire project within (60) calendar days of the contractor's receipt of the Notice to Proceed including Base Proposal and all selected Alternates listed below. A bond in the amount of 5 percent of the proposal issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each proposal. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Del Rio or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Proposal Bond. All proposals including Bond or Cashier Check shall be submitted in a sealed envelope included with the sealed proposal. Bid Bond must be included in the sealed submittal at the time of delivery Proposers who are selected shall guarantee that they can provide a Performance / Payment bond as required by the City of Del Rio. Proposers who are not selected shall have their Cashier Check returned or will need to notify their Bonding Company that the Bid Bond is no longer required. Provide for at least thirty (30) days prior written notice to the City of Del Rio for cancellation, non-renewal, or material change of the insurance. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: $100.00 PER DAY The City of Del Rio reserves the right to consider any other factors that it deems to be relevant to its needs. The City reserves the right to request additional information from an individual or to request all submitters to submit supplemental materials in fulfillment of the content requirements of this request for proposals (RFP) or to meet additional information needs of the City. The City also reserves the unilateral right to waive any technical or format requirements contained in the RFP.
