Renovation of a municipal facility in East Fayetteville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

SUMMARY OF WORK The work to be performed under this project consists of providing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for the rebuild of the Cumberland County New Courthouse Cooling Towers. Scope of work includes: o Contractor shall move existing deteriorated fill media and drift eliminators. o Contractor shall dispose fill media in appropriate containers. o Contractor shall mechanically grind and clean accessible rusted areas within the interior of tower. Any steel that has rusted through to be replaced with new steal coated with industrial grade epoxy. o Contractor shall apply two (2) applications of industrial type grade epoxy to prepared interior surfaces. Contractor to provide material sample to County for approval. o Contractor shall install new fill media with integrated louver/louvers. The PVC integrated louvers will remove the need to install new galvanized steel air inlet louvers and supports. o Contractor shall install upper/coil tier drift eliminators to reduce water and chemical loss into the mechanical area of the tower. o Contractor shall remove, clean, and reinstall water distribution system. o Contractor shall restore both towers to function as manufacturers had originally intended including restoring capacity to basin sweeper system and mechanically operated louvers on top of towers. o Contractor shall remove and replace tower mounted circulation pump and associated PVC piping system. o Contractor shall remove and replace automatic fill valves with new heavy-duty brass and/or stainless-steel float system designed to seal 100% at 100 PSI. o Contractor shall remove insulation and repair any leaks in Condenser water piping system within 4' of tower. o Contractor shall align water distribution system per OEM specifications. o Contractor shall be responsible for verifying all isolation valves are in good working order and can be reused or include replacement cost in their base bid. o Contractor to provide alternate pricing to replace tower fan motors, drive system, and motor mounts. o Contractor shall clean up work area and work area shall be free of any debris. o Contractor shall coordinate schedule with Owners (Cumberland County) and only one cooling tower shall be down at a time when work is performed. o Contractor shall furnish all crane, rigging, and trucking as needed for this project and shall be responsible for any and all damage to equipment done during transportation, installation, and prior to turnover to Cumberland County o Contractor shall furnish all equipment necessary to protect existing roof membrane from damage. Any and all damage done to roofing membrane to be responsibility of Contractor to repair. Contractor and County to walk roof prior to beginning of project to note any pre-existing damage. 4 o Project will not be deemed complete until Contractor has passed all required inspections, performed factory start-up per the manufacturer's instructions, and all Controls work has been completed.
