Please visit the solicitation at electronically to submit questions by the deadline. The County estimates that 500 normal time hours of a Licensed Master Plumber Foreman and 300 hours normal time of a Plumber Journeyman will be required during each year of the contract. Work under this contract will consist of maintenance, service, and emergency repairs to all Burlington County owned facilities and plumbing systems. Bids MUST be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check in the amount of 10% of the bid, to a maximum of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00), and shall be made payable to the Burlington County Board of County Commissioners. If the Successful Bidder fails to enter into such contract, or neglects to perform after acceptance of bid by the County, then the check or security deposited by it shall, at the option of the Board of County Commissioners, be retained as liquidated damages, or if bid bond has been supplied, the surety shall be liable for the amount of the bid bond. Below are the specifications for the description of equipment and/or services and other information to be used for identifying the County's requirements. The characteristics listed below are the specifications the County will accept. Any material deviation from specifications contained in a bid will cause that bid to be rejected. New Goods, Fresh Stock: specifically stated, shall produce new commodities, fresh stock, latest model, design or pack. DEADLINE FOR QUESTIONS IS OCTOBER 6, 2023 at 5:00 P.M. (local time). A pre-bid conference is not applicable for this solicitation of bids BID GUARANTEE RETURN Bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check submitted with this bid will be returned to all but the three (3) lowest bidders within three (3) days after opening of bids, Sundays and Holidays excepted. The bid deposit of the three (3) lowest bidders will be returned upon receipt of an approved performance bond, if required, and upon execution of a formal contract with the Successful Bidder(s). The Successful Bidder must provide to the County of Burlington a performance guarantee in the amount equal to 25% of the awarded amount. This performance guarantee is not required if the contract amount is for merchandise or equipment only and the total awarded amount is less than $5,000.00 Bids will be considered only from vendors not listed on any debarred list published by the State of New Jersey or any agency of the federal government of the United States of America. All bidders shall be licensed Master Plumbers. Bidders must provide a copy of their valid plumber's license with their bid submission. A copy of the license must be included under the "Response Attachments" tab. The County reserves the right, in its sole judgement, to request such other and further information and undertake such other investigation as it shall consider necessary to determine the bidder's qualifications and responsibility. By the act of bidding, the bidder consents to such additional investigation. The contract period is ONE (1) YEAR beginning January 1, 2024 and ending December 31, 2024 with one (1) one-year option beginning January 1, 2025 and ending December 31, 2025.
