As of 8/21/2025, this project has been removed from the owner's bidding website. No further updates are available at this time. The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) plans to replace 19 existing fish barriers within Thurston and Grays Harbor Counties with fish passable structures utilizing a progressive design-build delivery method. The existing fish barriers will be replaced with fish passable structures (buried structures and bridges) in compliance with the federal injunction regarding fish passage underneath WSDOT highways. This project will be delivered in two phases using the progressive design-build delivery method, Phase 1 will include preliminary engineering and phase 2 will include final design and construction.
