Through this Request for Proposal Louisville Metro Public Works- Traffic Division is seeking to award a contract for electrical services. Questions Due Date: Oct 9th 2023, 10:00 AM EDT Contact Information: Peggy Goodwin, peggy.goodwin@louisvilleky.gov Any inquiries about this RFP shall be addressed in writing Electronically The Metro Government shall not permit a Proposer to withdraw its Proposal for sixty (60) days after Proposals are opened, unless the Metro Government makes a specific exception in writing. Further, Proposal prices shall be firm for a minimum of six (6) months after the Proposal closing date. The scope of this contract shall include, but not be limited to, field construction, troubleshooting, and repair of: Traffic signals Flashing beacons School zone speed limit flashers Communications infrastructure Roadway lighting Rectangular rapid flashing beacons (RRFBs) Pedestrian hybrid signals (PHBs) The Contractor shall provide technical expertise, labor, working equipment, and all tools necessary for the work associated with this contract. The Contractor and at least one employee of the crew shall be licensed by the Kentucky Department of Housing, Building, & Construction as an Electrical Contractor (KYHBC). The Contract Manager shall have the final decision on the number of vehicles and persons for each crew. All electrical work shall be conducted or supervised by a licensed electrician (non-electrical work may be supervised by personnel without an electrical license). If questions arise, the Contract Manager shall make the final determination as to what work needs to be supervised by a licensed electrician.
