Bidding is estimated to take place in 2025. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to solicit and select a firm to provide professional engineering design and inspection services: Develop plans and specifications for a bridge replacement project for existing bridge structure number 406950290803001 (NBI) located in D odge City, Kansas, spanning the Arkansas River. Bridge Replacement Project Scope: Designed and Load Rated using AASHTO LRFD Specifications Constructed at a grade to span levees similar to the SB 14th Avenue structure o Hydraulically sized to meet a "No-Rise" condition Investigated for scour conditions at the piers and abutments at the 100-year event Widened to include shoulders and a shared-use path across the structure Include designed lighting to light both NB and SB roadways across the river o Include designed pedestrian lighting to light the shared-use path Relocate the existing Waterline utility currently attached to the structure Survey Right-of-Way Geology & Geotech Investigation (Subsurface, Temporary Shoring, Pavement Recommendations) Utility Coordination Traffic Engineering Public Involvement/Public Engagement The Design Firm will be working with the City of D odge City and KDOT to provide these services. This project will consist of design for construction of all characteristics required to make the improvements listed above. The successful design firm will need to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and requirements while meeting the necessary deadlines. The Design Firm may also, under a separate contract, provide inspection services for the forementioned work. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
