Questions concerning this bid process may be directed to City/County Purchasing at (402) 441-8103 or purchasing@lincoln.ne.gov.At such hour, or as soon as practicable thereafter, the Board of Trustees of the District will proceed to open in the presence of all bidders and consider the bids received for the furnishing of such labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the proper construction of such improvements. The extent of the work consists of the construction or other effectuation of the items listed below and other related preparatory and subsidiary work from issuance of the Notice to Proceed: ITEM NO. BID ITEM DESCRIPTION APPROXIMATE QUANTITY 1. MOBILIZATION 1 LS 2. REMOVE AND RESET BLOCKS ALONG CREEK CHANNEL 1 LS 3. CLEAN AND SEAL BRIDGE DECK JOINTS 1 LS 4. BRIDGE DECK REPAIR 300 SF 5. TRAFFIC CONTROL 1 LS The Engineer's estimate of the construction or other effectuation of all of such improvements and work is $35,000.00. Each bid must be accompanied in a SEPARATE SEALED ENVELOPE by a certified check drawn on a bank whose deposits are insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in the amount of $1,750.00, payable without condition to the Treasurer, Sanitary and Improvement District No. 427 of Douglas County, Nebraska, or a bid bond for a like amount as evidence of good faith of the bidder and as agreed upon liquidated damages to the District in the event the bidder whose proposal is accepted by the Board of Trustees of the District fails to enter into contract within ten (10) days after Notice of Award and furnish acceptable bond to complete the work and pay for all labor done and materials used, such bond to be in the amount of 100% of the total bid price. No bidder may withdraw his proposal for a period of thirty (30) days after the date set for the opening of bids.
