The duration of this contract is: December 1, 2023 – December 31, 2024 A certified check made payable to the “City of Lowell” in the amount of 5% must accompany this bid. Bid bonds are acceptable. A payment bond in the amount of 100% of the total dollar award is required prior to contract execution. A performance bond in the amount of 100% of the total dollar award is required prior to contract execution Attention of the Bidders is particularly called to the requirements of the conditions of employment to be observed and the prevailing wage rates to be paid on this project, as determined by the State Department of Labor and Industries. The City of Lowell, acting through its Chief Procurement Officer, reserves the right to waive any informality in, to reject any or all bids or to accept the one which appears in the best interest of the City of Lowell. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any bid if the evidence submitted by, or investigation of, such bidder fails to satisfy the OWNER that such bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the Contract and to complete the work contemplated therein. All equipment, labor and services required to complete all Interior Painting work, including all items incidental thereto as specified herein and as shown on the Drawings. Preparation of GWB for painting (including taping, mudding, and sanding) is to be performed by GC. 3) Both sides and edges of plywood backboards for electrical and telecom equipment before installing equipment. 4) Mechanical and Electrical: (a) In finished areas, paint insulated and exposed pipes, conduit, boxes, insulated and exposed ducts, hangers, brackets, collars and supports, mechanical equipment, and electrical equipment, unless otherwise indicated. (b) In finished areas, paint shop-primed items. (c) Paint interior surfaces of air ducts, transfer grills, and convector and baseboard heating cabinets that are visible through grilles and louvers with one coat of flat black paint to visible surfaces. (d) Paint dampers exposed behind louvers, grilles, and convector and baseboard cabinets to match face panels.
