The following specifications and attached plans describe the work to be performed for the demolition and removal of Wetherby Gymnasium located on the campus of Morehead State University. Contractor shall be responsible to remove and dispose of entire the building structure, walks, curbs, utility structures and pipe, drainage structure and excavate and grade the site in accordance with these specifications. The contractor shall only remove areas specified for removal. Parking areas and some sidewalks shall remain. The Laughlin Health Building and the adjacent concourse that includes the Mechanical Room connecting the Laughlin Health Buildmg and Wetherby Gymnasium shall remain in place and undamaged. MSU reserves the right to remove and retain any partition of the building structures and equipment that it deems useful for ns purposes. MSU's right of salvage remains in effect for a predetermined time which will be set forth in the project schedule. Successful bidder must provide proof of insurance. A 5% Bid Bond or cashier's check must be included with bid to Receive consideration if the bid price exceeds $40,000. A 100% Performance Bond will be required of the successful bidder if the bid is more than $25,000.00. The Performance Bond must be issued within ten (10) days after notice of award. Morehead State University reserves the right to award this bid in such manner as it deems to be the Best Value for the University.
