The City of Calera is accepting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from companies interested in providing professional engineering services. The Scope of Services will include, but may not be limited to, ROW acquisition, NEPA approvals, civil engineering, surveying, geotechnical, structural engineering, electrical engineering, environmental permitting, bidding, costing, budgeting, and construction inspection services to deliver a complete set of plans for the State Road 25 RailwayHighway Grade Separation Project (City of Calera, AL). This Project Scope of Work includes the following: This project will realign SR-25 by connecting SR-25 South to SR-25 North with an overpass along the new alignment over the CSX Railroad and 9th Street. The realignment will provide a route for trucks to traverse SR-25 safely without having to navigate through the less than satisfactory geometric intersection of United States Route 31 (US-31) and SR-25 and through downtown Calera which is a congested traffic corridor. To improve dangerous railway crossing, this project will construct a 700- foot long bridge over the CSX railroad in Calera, Alabama and realign 2500 linear feet of State Highway 25. Questions or comments pertaining to this statement of qualifications must be presented in writing, or sent as e-mail to the attention of Chris Pappas, City Engineer, City of Calera, cpappas@calera.org seventy-two (72) hours prior to the statement of qualifications opening or may be forever waived.
