Project no - BR-0076-A-01.880-2023 The estimated construction cost for this project is $1,350,000.00. A bid guaranty in the amount of one hundred (100%) percent of the bid amount or a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised Code in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the total bid amount shall accompany each bid. The bid shall be let upon a unit price basis. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements as determined by the Davis Bacon Act WD#OH20220001. Only those contractors which are then currently prequalified for work type 8, 9, 10, 21, 36 by ODOT will be eligible to submit bids for the construction of this project. Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Requirement. DBE participation goals (Subcontracts, materials, supplies) have been set on this project for these certified as DBEs pursuant to TEA-21 (1998) and 49 CFR, Part 26, and qualified to bid with ODOT under Chapter 5525 of the Ohio Revised Code. The DBE goal is 10%. Bids may be held by the Geauga County Board of Commissioners for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of opening, for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract.
