It is the intent of the City to contract with one or more qualified professional firms to provide geotechnical, construction materials testing, and special inspection on an as-needed basis. Each selected firm will enter into a Master Services Agreement. Specific projects and/or deliverables identified by the City will be negotiated through scope of work and fee discussions and arranged through a Task Order. Selection will be made based on the qualifications of the firms for the various types of experience needed for a particular Engineering Construction project. The City is seeking on-call Construction Material Testing firms to provide assistance on projects for services in the following areas: o Backfill Placement o Subgrade Soils o Earthwork o Concrete form work o Concrete reinforcing steel o Cast-in-place concrete o Pavement base o Asphalt o Special Inspections (NC Building Code) o Geotechnical investigation o Field services o Laboratory testing for soils, concrete and asphalt o Materials observation and documentation o Reporting o Construction management RFQ Written Questions Due : 10/19/23 5:00 PM Questions concerning the specifications in this Request for Qualification should be directed to the Project Manager.
