Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Troy, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

All questions about the meaning or intent of Bidding Documents or discovery of any ambiguities, inconsistencies, errors or omissions in the Bidding Documents shall be submitted in writing to the Miami County Engineers Office, 2100 North County Road 25A, Troy, OH 45373 (937) 440-5656. Questions received less than 5 days prior to the date for opening Bids will not be answered. The Contractor shall furnish a Contractors Progress Schedule (Ghant Chart preferred) showing the percent of major components of the project to be completed within specified times. The Contractor shall prosecute the work in a vigorous and efficient manner, to ensure completion of the project within the time limit set and will keep the area of his operation in a neat and orderly condition. This shall include, but is not limited to, dust control. Each bid must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the bid and all persons interested therein. The County intends and requires that this project be completed no later than June 1, 2024. All federal rules and requirements with respect to equal employment opportunity (EEO) shall be in force with respect to this contract. Bidders must comply with current Davis-Bacon Prevailing Wage Rates for Public Improvements in Miami County, Ohio as determined by the United States Department of Labor, Wage, and Hour Division Bidders must be prequalified with the Ohio Department of Transportation for appropriate work types. Each Bidder is required to furnish, with his bid, a Bid Guaranty in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted a Contract will be entered into in accordance with the bid, project plans, and the project specifications. The Bid Guaranty shall be in one of the following forms. 1. A certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit in an amount equal to 10% of the total Bid amount, payable to the Board of Miami County Commissioners and the Ohio Department of Transportation, or; 2. A Bid bond in the amount of 100% of the Bid amount, payable to the Board of Miami County Commissioners and the Ohio Department of Transportation. If the Bid Guaranty is furnished in Bond form, it shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. The Board of Miami County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any irregularities in the Bids and to award the contract to the bidder, or bidders, who, in their opinion, offer the lowest and best bid. The engineers estimate for this project is $638,837.00.
