The Work to be procured consists of: Shepaug Historical House Roof Replacement Clarification Deadline 10/20/2023 2:00 PM All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bid Documents must be submitted to the CITY's ProcureWare website by October 20, 2023, 2:00PM The CITY will issue written clarifications or interpretations by Addenda online at the CITY's ProcureWare website not later than October 24, 2023, 2:00PM. Each Proposal OVER $50,000.00 submitted shall be accompanied by a Proposal Security (a Certified Check or Bid Bond) in the amount of ten (10) percent of the Total Proposal Price. The Proposer to whom a contract is offered, must furnish to the City, if that contract has a total cost greater than $50,000.00, a 100 percent Performance Bond with a surety, and in a form, acceptable to the City. In the City's sole discretion, it may also require a 100 percent Payment Bond and/or other additional security with a surety, and in a form, acceptable to the City BID ITEM A Remove existing shingles. Replace shingles with GAF Timberline HDZ shingles (Pewter Gray). Install F8 drip edge around all perimeter of roof. Install Ice & water protection 6 feet up the roof and around valleys. Install all new lead flashing, step flashing and ice water protection for all four chimneys. Warranty (50 years for materials and 5 years for labor). Dispose of shingles and debris according to Local, State and Federal requirements. Restore the landscape to original condition. BID ITEM B Replace or install Plywood as needed. BID ITEM C Remove and reinstall the gutters. Remove all old pipe boots and install new ones.
