A. The project consists of modifications and additions to the existing HVAC ductwork systems. HVAC work includes but is not limited to 1. Removal of existing fiberglass duct board and replaced with new sheet metal ductwork insulated with either acoustic duct liner or external duct wrap as directed by the Owner. 2. Provide temporary support for any existing electrical conduit and/or boxes that are currently supported off existing ductwork. Provide permanent support for existing electrical conduit and boxes by other means after completion of the new ductwork installation. Electrical conduit and devices shall not be supported off mechanical ductwork and/or piping. 3. The Owner will provide existing HVAC drawings with the extent of the existing fiberglass ductwork highlighted for bidding purposes. The HVAC Contractor is required to visit the site to verify the existing duct routings should they differ from the original plans to prepare an accurate bid. Failure to visit the site and verify existing conditions will void a bid.
