Reference Number 0000332184 The Oakland County Purchasing, on behalf of the Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner (WRC) is soliciting bids from Contractors for aluminum sulfate for use in wastewater treatment operations at the Walled Lake-Novi Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) located at 46351 West Road, Novi, Michigan 48377. Average daily sanitary flow is approximately 2 MGD. This material will be delivered to the WWTP on an as-needed basis onlyas requested by WRC. DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS Contractor shall deliver aluminum sulfate to the WWTP on an as-needed basis within one week of being notified by WRC. Delivery times greater than one week are subject to the approval of WRC. Contractor shall be responsible for any spills resulting from the failure of its delivery equipment or from the failure of delivery personnel in the proper performance of their duties. Proper performance shall require attendant delivery personnel's constant inspection and observation of unloading operations and knowledgeable response to problems or emergencies, which would most commonly be expected to occur. The Contractor shall take immediate and appropriate actions to clean up any spilled material. If the spill cannot be cleaned up by the contractor, WRC may hire a certified hazardous material handling company to clean up the spill, and the cost of such service will be charged to the Contractor.
