Vaughn Lane Chip Seal Bid. The deadline to ask questions is 10/16/2023 5:00 PM CST The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, signage, traffic control, and other incidentals necessary to provide a double course chip seal to the County Road. The first course shall consist of an Inverted Prime or Covered Prime treatment where 0.18 to 0.24 Gal SY of RC-250 (Rapid Cure Cut Back Asphalt), at a temperature range of 125-180 degrees F is applied to the finished base and then immediately covered by spreading Type B or Type L Grade 5 Aggregate. AD asphalt and emulsion application rates, temperatures, and aggregate rates shall comply with TxDOT specifications for surface treatments Item 316 and will be discussed and approved by County Commissioner before application of any materials. The second course shall consist of AC-15P or AC-20-5TR or AC-10-2TR or CRS-2 at a minimum shot rate of .43 or CRS-2P Emulsified Polymerized Asphalt at a minimum shot rate of .33. County Commissioner will determine which bituminous material used in second course. All shot rates and temperature of bituminous materials shall be to TxDOT Specifications Item 316 Surface Treatment. Type B or Type L Grade 4 Aggregate. Specifically, a CRS-2 shot rate a minimum of .42 and an AC shot rate a minimum of .32.
