Site work, new construction and renovation of an educational facility in Saint-Jean-Sur-Richelieu, Quebec. Working plans call for the construction of a 15,285-square-foot, three-story above grade educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; and for the renovation of a 6,070-square-foot educational facility.
Expansion of Cegep Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu facilities. The scope of the project inclues the construction of a new building for a clinic-school annexed to the existing building and connected to it by an exterior walkway. The new facility will optimize the use of laboratories and education program space and will create a practical learning environment for students in nursing, biomedical analysis, social work and physiotherapy. The project also provides for the redevelopment of areas that will become vacant after the program moves to the new building. TIMELINE: Following the project approval by the Quebec Ministry of Higher Education (MES) the prepared project plans and specifications were submitted to the Ministry. The publication of a tender for the general contractor is is awaiting authorization from the Ministry. Note. The project is included in the list of major projects of the Quebec Treasury Board Secretariat under the number 1345 with official status "en design".
