The County of Spotsylvania, Virginia, herein after referred to as the County invites written proposals from qualified engineering firms to provide professional engineering services for the design, easement acquisition and construction phase services to complete the Leavells Road 24-Inch Water Main Project The scope of services is based on the general alignment shown on Attachment E, Leavells Road 24" Waterline Project Map and include the following components: o Design of approximately 10,000 linear feet of 24-inch transmission water main on Leavells Road from Courthouse Road to Tipperary Trail. o Design of approximately 3,500 linear feet of 6-inch distribution water main on Leavells Road parallel to the 24-inch transmission water main. o Topographic survey within project limits, geotechnical engineering, environmental permitting services, SUE and coordination with the VDOT, easement plat development and acquisition. o Trenchless crossing (Jack & Bore) under Leavells Rd. o Air release valves, as needed for normal operation along the water main alignment. o Development of an Opinion of Probable Construction Costs. o Environmental investigations regarding wetlands, waterways and endangered species.
