South Burlington RAIZ(01) - East-West Alternative Transportation Crossing Project - Walk Bike Bridge over I-89 at Exit 14 Each BID must be accompanied by a certified check payable to the City of South Burlington for five percent (5%) of the total amount of the BID. A BID bond may be used in lieu of a certified check. LOCATION: Beginning at a point on the western side of the Exit 14 Interchange of Interstate 89, continuing alongside the I-89 southbound on ramp, crossing the interstate approximately 900-ft south of the US Route 2 bridge over the interstate, and continuing alongside the northbound off ramp to where it meets US Route 2 (Williston Road). TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION: Work to be performed under this project includes but is not limited to: Construction of a new shared use pathway and bridge over Interstate 89 including, construction of MSE walls, stormwater infrastructure, project lighting, and project landscaping. CONTRACT COMPLETION DATE: The Contract shall be completed on or before October 31, 2028. ENGINEERS ESTIMATE: For this Proposal the Engineers Estimate falls between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. DAVIS BACON WAGE REQUIREMENTS: Bidders agree to abide by the Davis Bacon Wage Rate Schedule, which are appended to these Contract Documents. PREQUALIFICATION OF CONTRACTORS: All bidders must: (1)(a) be listed on the current Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) Contract Administration listing of preapproved contractors for "Contractors List of Bridge Construction Category"; OR (1)(b) have submitted a complete annual prequalification application to VTrans Contract Administration a minimum of ten (10) working days prior to the bid opening and shall include a copy of their approval notice with their bid; AND (2) must submit a request for contract-specific prequalification using Form CA-82. Contract-specific prequalification will be determined by VTrans taking into consideration the prospective Bidder's current volume, degree of completion and rate of progress on uncompleted work then under contract in relation to the prospective Bidder's Maximum Dollar Capacity Rating (MDCR) and Number of Contract Capacity Rating (NCCR), and whether the prospective Bidder is approved for the specific work classification(s) for the contract. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
