This is the Phase 2 solicitation following an Invitation to Qualify. Only qualified suppliers have been invited to bid. Fisheries and Oceans Canada requires a contractor to assist with replacing and repairing the approach and wharfhead at the Stewart Small Craft Harbour. The following is a general summary of the works included in this project. The work completed under this contract shall include the supply of all equipment, labour and materials necessary for the performance of the work. All waste material shall be disposed of by the Contractor in strict accordance with provincial, local and municipal regulations and Part 8 of the National Building Code and with the Canadian Construction Safety Code. The work to be carried out under this contract generally includes the following mandatory work: 1. Mobilization/Demobilization 2. Removal of Existing Approach 3. Detach and Reinstall Gangway 4. Supply and Installation of Prefabricated Steel Approach 5. Clearing and Grubbing 6. Excavation for New Concrete Post Footings 7. Installation of New Concrete Footings 8. Installation of New Steel Posts 9. Backfilling of Slope 10. Supply and Placement of Geotextile 11. Supply and Placement of New 10kg Riprap 12. Supply and Placement of New 100kg Riprap 13. Detach and Reinstall Utilities The following is a list of optional work items that are located towards the south end of the project site. The Departmental Representative will determine whether or not the optional work is to be completed prior to executing the contract: 1.
