Salt Lake County (County), on behalf of the Aging & Adult Services Division (AAS), is soliciting proposals from qualified firms (Proposer/Contractor) to provide operation and management of the senior daily meal program at six separate senior centers. There are currently three senior centers operating a café model senior daily meal program. In addition, the County is in the process of remodeling the kitchens at three additional senior centers. Questions may be submitted through U3P until the deadline for questions submission which is October 25th, 2023, at 1:00 PM. Answers to the questions will be posted in U3P for everyone to view. In three (3) of these 15 centers, that lunch is prepared and provided on-site through a model that includes a daily senior meal, an alternate daily senior meal, and an option to provide retail selections for the public ("cafe model"). Salt Lake County Aging & Adult Services will be responsible for managing the contract with the awarded Contractor and assuring adherence to the nutritional and donation requirements of the Older Americans Act for the senior meal. At the same time, Aging & Adult Services will represent the needs of the staff and the patrons of the senior centers. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
