Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Bend, Oregon. Working plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
In July 2015 City Council approved a recommended 3-lane hybrid concept for improvements along the Galveston Corridor, with minimal median treatment and authorized the project to proceed to 30% design. The 3-lane hybrid includes the reconstruction of the Galveston Ave right of way, 14th Street to Deschutes River. Improvements include full-depth reconstruction, stormwater management, distribution system line upgrades, buffered bike lanes, accessible crossings, sidewalks, transit facilities, on-street parking, and several aesthetic improvements. Improvements are reflective of a typical complete street transportation project with additional utility upgrades for economy of scale and maintenance purposes. This project is included in the 2025-2027 Capital Improvement Program. As of June 18, 2025, project is expected to begin in late 2025. Project design is complete. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
