East Street Bridge Replacement - Estimated advertisement date 11/01/2023 The Work consists of the replacement of the existing Railroad Bridge over East Street in Dedham, Massachusetts, and the reconstruction of a section of East Street. The new bridge will be a two track, steel through girder superstructure on a new reinforced concrete substructure. The bridge will be constructed by Accelerated Bridge Construction methods within an active railroad right of way. The new bridge will have a span of fifty one feet and a width of thirty seven feet. Approximately six hundred feet of East Street will be reconstructed with two roadway lanes and sidewalks on either side. The project involves structural work, track work, roadway work, stormwater system work, utility work and other construction specialties. Electronic bids for MBTA Contract No. B91CN15, EAST STREET BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT, DEDHAM, MASSACHUSETTS, CLASS 1 - GENERAL TRANSIT CONSTRUCTION - $13,000,000.00 and CLASS 4A - STEEL STRUCTURES - $13,000,000.00, Project Value $13,319,252.00 All questions during the bid phase should be directed to the MBTA Project Manager in writing or emailed to the contact information above. Questions are to be submitted no later than ten (10) days prior to the date set forth for the opening of the bids.
